I don’t know about you, but deadlines are not one of my favorite things. Towards the end of the first half term, I had a lot of deadlines. It is either that essay or this division problem that needed some attention. It was not long before I got tired of them. This verse came at just the right time, reminding me I can tell God all my troubles and He will sustain me to the end.
So then, I started looking at deadlines as a chance to cast my burdens to the Lord and ask Him for help with all I have to do. After that, I got started on what needs doing. This time, not in my own strength but that of the Lord’s. Knowing that I am not working all alone is both comforting and encouraging. With God’s help, I was able to finish them on time.
While I know there will be more deadlines to meet in future, I have learned a valuable lesson on how to get strength to face them. 😊
