Dig In, Rooted

Future

I don’t know about you, but recently I have been thinking about my future a LOT. And I’m only 11! That’s the thing that scares me most. The future is so uncertain, you never know what is going to happen in the next month, five days, even in the next hour. And we are a bit uncertain about the future especially, during this global pandemic we are all under. When will it end? Is it going to get better at least? We all might have these questions within ourselves, something within us yearning for certainty, but that is not going to change the fact that:

  • The future is still unknown. No one can picture how things are going to turn out.
  • God is in control no matter what.

As things are opening up and we are making plans to do the things we love. Or locking down on our plans, God is in control guiding our feet every step of the way. But sometimes, we feel that “He is ruining our plans” or “He doesn’t know what He’s doing!” The truth is, whatever God does is done in love. Even though it may seem as though He has taken ‘opportunities’ away from you, He might be trying to tell you “No, I have something better for you.”

God has a plan for our lives and all we have to do is trust, because He wants us to trust Him as we walk with Him. Take a look at Abraham for example, when God told him to go to a land he had never seen before, he acted in faith (Hebrews 11:8). Trusting God, he set out. And God, who always keeps His promises, rewarded Abraham with land and desendants that would later become a whole nation.

As we continue our lives, in our world of many unknowns, God is the only certainty. He has held up His Son Jesus (John 3:14 -15) and is inviting you to look to Him and be saved.
