The Start of Something New

2022 has gone, another year has come, and it feels amazing to be alive. God has kept us through one whole year despite the political drama, economic crisis, turmoil, wars, and the dangers that come with those. By His grace we are living to tell the story. His sparing us is a blessing in so many ways and is a sign of His loving kindness and mercy. This gives us every reason to praise and thank God.

Consequently, we can’t take His mercy for granted. The chief end of man is to glorify and enjoy God, I think the reason He has kept us is so that we can – with His help – develop ourselves to achieve this goal. With this in mind, let’s consider the following:

To be able to bless others

We can make it a habit to pray to God to give us the grace to bless others with a willing and joyful heart. Ask Him, “How can I be a blessing to those around me today?” If we are sincere in our asking, God will show us the little things that we can do to help others.

To go further in our walk with the Lord

The reason we are alive; the purpose of our very existence is to glorify and enjoy God. This basically means to delight in Him and do everything for His glory. He will make the path of life known to us. Remember, life is a journey, and God does not want us to take it alone. He wants to be a part of our lives as a father, as a friend. He wants to make our relationship better than it already is. He wants you to learn more about Him and his kingdom. He wants to dwell in you.

To spread the word about Jesus

As well as continuously building a relationship with Him, God wants us to share His love with everyone. But, some of us, including me, don’t know when or how to say it. My friends, Jesus knows these things and is ready to give us the wisdom to do so. All we need to do is ask, and we will receive (Matt 7:7).

So as we go into the New Year, consider these things and take them to heart. I hope that you have been blessed by this.

Happy New Year!

Eden A.
